More than fifty Greenpeace activists this morning rode up camp on the access road to the mines of Veladero and Pascua Lama, demanding the full implementation of the Law Glacier.
More than 50 activists set up camp on the access road to the mines of Veladero and Pascua Lama.
Greenpeace activists deployed in the access road to the mine complex that exploits the multinational Barrick Gold, a high mountain camp specially equipped to withstand extreme weather conditions.
"The protest takes place as opposed to 'lock' that is putting the Law Barrick Glacier, through presentations to the judiciary with the complicity of the national government, " said Juan Carlos Villalonga, Greenpeace campaigns director.
For the environmental, Glacier Act ceased to be a "law of the Nation, a law of the Argentines, and is now hijacked by a group of mining companies. "
