Mantey Stephane French sports daily L'Equipe with his photo of "Lights and Shadows" won the "Premio Pouca Emile for the best picture of 2011 Dakar Rally.

Mantey's work, who covered for the first time the Dakar, was selected by the race director Etienne Lavigne, the driver Luc Alphand, Philippe Sudre, and Natacha Pisarenko, Argentina photographer who won last year, among others.

The award pays tribute to Emilie Pouce, who for years worked as a press officer of Dakar, and died in August 2010 in a plane crash.

The young French lover of photography, was introduced last January in the habit of rewarding the best picture of the rally. For this reason and as a tribute to his work, the authorities decided to baptize the test with his name recognition.
